Social Studies Curriculum Standards
After reading the standards regarding Social Studies for New Jersey students, I was impressed with what students have to know by the time they leave high school. Never going to a public school, I never had these standards enforced in my classrooms. However, I still believe that I was taught what I needed in order to be a successful History major, which is evident because I am that today. If teachers were to follow these standards, their unit plans could be easily planned out and students would leave the classroom with appreciation for history. My only suggestion would be to implement more of an emphasis upon world history culture as it is the basis for all history, including U.S.

It seems that you are behind on blogs. We've done 3 so far. Also make an effort to submit blogs ontime.
